About

This game uses emotion recognition biometric AI to analyse your personal attributes and match you to a fantastical monster avatar from the Chinese mythical text 山海经 Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas) from 4th century BCE. Catch elemental balls to evolve your avatar while discovering your custom interactive soundtrack created with machine learning.

This work was presented in SCI-FI: Mythologies Transformed presented by Science Gallery Melbourne. The exhibition is a co-production developed in collaboration between ArtScience Museum and Science Gallery Melbourne. The original version New Eden: Science Fiction Mythologies Transformed was developed and first exhibited at ArtScience Museum in Singapore (21 Oct 2023 – 3 Mar 2024).
